Hubble

The Hubble Telescope is like a floating eye high above the clouds, seeing the universe without the blur of our atmosphere. Since 1990, it has orbited Earth at 27,000 km/h, with its 2.4-meter primary mirror capturing light from the era when the first galaxies were born. While the planets in our solar system are like neighbors on the same street, Hubble sees all the way to the "edge of town" billions of light-years away. It helped us determine the age of the universe and reveal mysterious dark energy. It is our best tool for observing visible, ultraviolet, and near-infrared light, constantly rewriting textbooks.
