  • Percentage of Oranžový trpaslík within 98.5 světelné roky: 10.82 % (1030 from 9520 stars)
  • Average hmotnost of Oranžový trpaslík: 50-80% solar mass
  • Average radius of Oranžový trpaslík: 60-90% solar radius
  • Average teplota of Oranžový trpaslík: 3900-5200 K

Image: Massive brown dwarf HD 203771 b confirmed in eccentric orbit around orange dwarf
The massive brown dwarf known as HD 203771 b has been characterized as orbiting its host orange dwarf star once every 1140 days. Brown dwarfs are often called failed stars because they are more massive than planets but not heavy enough to sustain the nuclear fusion that powers stars. This particular companion follows an eccentric, or elongated, path that is inclined at an angle of approximately 130 degrees relative to its host. The host star itself has a mass estimated at 0.79 times that of the ...

Image: Revised properties of orange dwarf HD 219134 provide new insights into planetary evolution
New measurements for the orange dwarf HD 219134 refine its age to 8.92 billion years. Asteroseismic analysis settles past debates on its radius and reveals how the star's radiation history influenced the atmospheres of its companion planets....

New study characterizes the three-planet system K2-233. The 400 million year old orange dwarf hosts inner iron-rich planets and an outer planet, K2-233 d, that is actively losing its atmosphere. Over time, K2-233 d will likely become a sub-Neptune or super-Earth....

TOI-2211 b is identified as a potential hot water world. Observations of this super-Earth, which orbits its orange dwarf star every 3.09 days, reveal a mass of 2.69 Earth masses and a radius of 1.457 Earth radii. A second planetary candidate was also detected....

Image: Oxygen signatures in the rock vapor outflow of planet BD+05 4868 b
Observations of the disintegrating planet BD+05 4868 b suggest the presence of an escaping rock-vapor outflow. The detected oxygen signatures provide a unique look at how intense radiation strips material from the surfaces of rocky exoplanets....
