Nearby star LP 847-48 is a main sequence star that fuses hydrogen atoms into helium. It is approximately 40 % of the size of Sun and temperature on its surface is around 3354 K (3081 °C), which is about 58 % of Sun's temperature.
       LP 847-48 can be found in southern celestial hemisphere, however it is too dim to be seen with the naked eye or even a small telescope.
