HD 163296 can be found in southern celestial hemisphere.
Detailed observations of protoplanetary discs around 5 nearby stars show complex chemistry similar to what scientists expect around young Sun. Organic compounds are quite common which could mean, that the building block for life could be present throughout the cosmos.
According to a study in Nature magazine, the movements of CO gas in a protoplanetary disc around young star HD 163296 might be caused by newborn exoplanets. Other causes are possible, like the magnetism of the star itself, but exoplanets are the lead explanation so far.
