Nearby star AP Columbae is a main sequence star that fuses hydrogen atoms into helium. It is approximately 30 % of the size of Sun and temperature on its surface is around 3079 K (2806 °C), which is about 53 % of Sun's temperature.
       AP Columbae can be found in southern celestial hemisphere, however it is too dim to be seen with the naked eye or even a small telescope.
