  • Percentage of Géantes within 98.5 années lumière: 0.46 % (44 from 9522 stars)
  • Average masse of Géantes: 50-300% solar mass
  • Average rayon of Géantes: 500-20000% solar radius
  • Average température of Géantes: 3000-5000 K

Image: Twenty-nine giant planets confirmed around bright stars using TESS data
The study presents the characterization of 29 new giant planets, often categorized as hot or warm Jupiters due to their massive size and proximity to their host stars. These planets were identified as they transited—or passed in front of—their host stars, which are bright stars similar in type to our Sun (specifically FGK-type stars). In addition to confirming these 29 worlds, the analysis identified three previously unknown bound stellar companions, specifically TOI-3988 B, TOI-6171 B, and ...

Image: Ultra-hot super Neptune orbiting the subgiant star TOI-5646 is a desert survivor
An ultra-hot super Neptune, TOI-5646b, has been confirmed orbiting the subgiant star TOI-5646. As a rare resident of the Neptune desert, it has lost up to 16 percent of its mass due to intense radiation, highlighting a unique and violent planetary history....
