Junge Sternobjekte

  • Percentage of Junge Sternobjekte within 98.5 lichtjahre: 0.02 % (2 from 9522 stars)
  • Average masse of Junge Sternobjekte: 10-200% solar mass
  • Average radius of Junge Sternobjekte: 50-300% solar radius
  • Average temperatur of Junge Sternobjekte: 2000-10000 K

Image: Narrow ring of gas found near the young star HD 152384
The young star HD 152384, located in the Sco-Cen association, possesses a structure that mimics a debris disk, revealing a thin ring of gas circulating near the star. This gaseous ring consists of refractory elements - substances that remain solid at high temperatures - such as iron, magnesium, silicon, and calcium. The presence of this material so close to the star suggests a secondary origin, likely resulting from the ongoing collisions of rocky bodies orbiting the star. This system is a rare ...

Image: Protoplanet candidate EK Chamaeleontis b identified around a young red dwarf star
A new protoplanet candidate, EK Cha b, has been identified orbiting a young red dwarf star. Detected via carbon monoxide emissions and infrared data, the object shows signs of a circumplanetary disk, marking a key step in studying planet formation....

Image: Inclined planet in the protoplanetary disc of HD 139614 creates shifting shadows
An inclined planet orbiting HD 139614 is warping its protoplanetary disc, casting large shadows across the outer regions. New models confirm these shadows and a spiral structure are evidence of the planet's gravitational influence on the surrounding dust....

Image: Mass measurements of infant planets orbiting the young star V1298 Tau
New mass measurements of the infant planets orbiting V1298 Tau reveal that planets b and e are likely gas giants. These findings, based on long-term radial velocity monitoring, suggest higher masses than previously estimated from transit timing observations....

Image: Variability in the DQ Tau binary system shapes its surrounding planet-forming disk
The binary system DQ Tau shows that stellar accretion and X-ray activity directly influence its planet-forming disk. Observations reveal that these energy fluctuations shift the disk snowline and change the chemical emission of molecules like water and carbon dioxide....
